HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2023!

November 24, 2023

Oh, if only we were grateful for everything that we have and all that happens in our lives! I think for this reason alone, a lot could change in this world. And it may and must change.

Gratitude is a feeling of appreciation for kindness, care or attention shown. When we are grateful, we inexplicably experience a feeling of joy and harmony. When we are grateful, even in difficult circumstances, then something extraordinary happens. We are filled with positive emotions. Expressing gratitude motivates you to do more good.

Let us prayerfully offer thanks to the Lord as we meditate on the following Scriptures:

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:17)

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God.” (Philippians 4:6)

“All these things are for your sakes, so that the abundant grace through the thanksgiving of many might overflow to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:15)

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57)

“Continue in prayer, and be watchful with thanksgiving,” (Colossians 4:2)

“I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 9:2)

“You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)

“Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him or give thanks to Him as God, but became futile in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:21-22)

“For everything created by God is good, and not to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” (1 Timothy 4:4-5)

We thank You, Lord, for everything – blessings and trials!
